Lough Lein is
located in the heart of the southwest of Ireland, with the
beautiful town of Killarney close to its shores, it has to be
the jewel set into the Ring of Kerry. High mountains and
dramatic scenery surround the Lough. You can almost hear the
Irish élan pipes or the music of Enya emanating from the land
as you gaze in awe at the ever-changing light painting the
landscape around you.
Bishop Berkely of Cloyne was quoted in saying, “Louis XIV
could build a palace at Versailles, but only God could have
made the Lakes of Killarney”
Even though the trout aren't big, the sport makes up for their
size. Free rising and lightening quick. The average size would
be around 12oz. At this time of year it's likely you could
come across a salmon, these must be returned. Once again, I
have arranged for local angler and Irish Champion, John
Buckley to team up with us for the full 3 days to guide us.
